new laptop, new interest

hi! i've been pretty occupied lately... to be honest i've been hanging out with cassidy, aaron, and ghost a lot... it's been fun though! i'm happy about it :) school has become incredibly draining for me for whatever reason, even though my classes are pretty easy compared to last year. it's really just the waking up early. it affects me so much to have to do that, it really sucks. ...but uh, that isn't to say i haven't been happy.

if you'll remember, one of the previous blog posts mentioned that i was dogsitting for someone in my family. while i was there, i noticed that they had a very specific model of macbook on their kitchen table that i had previously been interested in buying for myself. i wasn't thinking about asking them about it or anything, i just thought it was pretty cool that they had it. well... a couple months later they contacted me asking if i would want to have the laptop because they were getting a new one and they knew i have an interest in repairing devices. obviously i said yes??? i had to hold in my excitement over the phone LOL... the macbook in question was a macbook pro 2012, which is a model famously known for its upgradable ram and hard drive. before i recieved the macbook, i looked into its specs and it turned out that the cpu speed was actually two times faster than my current laptop! wow!!!! this was amazing... i was told that the laptop was slow, but i figured this was likely because the hard drive was old, and upon recieving the laptop, i confirmed that this was the case. (it had a 500gb hard drive though!) i bought a 160gb solid state drive for it, and now i'm using it daily! it's really amazing! plus, it has a dvd drive and cd burner... it's been amazing to use. i gave my other macbook to my little sister and she was very happy about it...

moving on! lately, for whatever reason, i've been getting into hip-hop/rap music a little more (during the summer i did listen to N.E.R.D and Gorillaz but that was kind of my introduction to the genre.) i've been specifically getting into tyler the creator's music, something about it has really matched with me in a way that's kind of hard to describe. i really like all of his work. i think that kind of shows, too, because my favorite album of his is ironically his most hated; cherry bomb.

i don't really have much else to say for now. i've been working dilligently on cliffeltip and slowly on another project... that's all i really have to say. bye bye now!
